Additional Info
Having experienced a dysfunctional childhood where poverty was evident, Aubrey entered the workplace as a 16-year-old boy in the West End of London. He earned enough money to return to Ireland and established his transport, which was not the award-winning AMC removal and storage.
His childhood experiences established in him a passion for combating poverty and marginalisation experienced by those who have been affected by violence, addiction, homelessness or those who have fled their homes due to war.
Now in its 16th year, the organisation which he leads and co-founded with his childhood friend has helped thousands of people who have been displaced, disempowered and rendered voiceless and has promoted and championed opportunities for them to participate equally in society and both find and use their voice again.
This early business acumen has resulted in Aubrey establishing and running two businesses employing more than forty people.
Aubrey operates AMC Removals, which moves both corporate and domestic clients nationally and internationally. His business now has a list of clients that include Presidents, Taoisaigh, the Central Bank, County Councils, SISK, BAN, Intercontinental hotels, OPW and more. Private clients such as Lord Andrew Lord Webber, Sting and many Irish football and rugby team members. This transport business has recently been awarded the “FAIM” accreditation, which means that AMC is at the top of their game in the moving business.
Aubrey also runs the Elms furniture and destination store along with his brother on the family farm in County Kildare. This award-winning store is a renowned restaurant/café in the Kildare area.
