Viewpoint: Stewarding Creation
This month the eyes of the world have been on Glasgow as leaders from around the globe gathered for COP26. Different perspectives have been voiced, challenges presented and solutions proposed.
So, how might we take the challenges and opportunities presented at a global climate conference and translate them into our everyday lives?
As Christians - seeking to follow Jesus in all of life - how might we view the invitation or urgent call to make our world a better place - today and for future generations?
This week we hear from Heather and Graham Gillen who - as followers of Jesus and business owners - are seeking to support other businesses to more effectively steward resources.
Through their management accountancy advisory firm eccountinc - Heather and Graham are modelling what it means to care for all that God has made and, through their B Leader Services, guiding other businesses to develop and implement more sustainable practices.
Heather and Graham’s work in this area ties in with one of the talks at the Faith Driven Entrepreneur Watch Party last week featuring David Blanchard, CEO of Praxis. Dave shared Praxis’s model that outlines how Christian’s can choose to adopt Redemptive Strategies in their business, which he describes as a commitment ‘to create beautiful and humanizing products, services, and spaces, backed by truthful and God-honoring brands and narratives’.
