Signpost: Institute for Faith, Works & Economics - How to Flourish through Financial Crisis

CBMC Belfast loves to signpost to other great organisations out there who are producing incredible resources. One of those organisations is The Institute for Faith, Work & Economics (IFWE).

IFWE is a Christian organization advancing a free and flourishing society by revolutionizing the way people view their work. We believe the Bible’s timeless truths about the purpose of our work and how to make wise decisions with all that we've been given. When Christians understand and live out the biblical meaning of work, then lives, societies, and nations will be transformed for Christ.

Their mission statement is a well-considered summary of what CBMC Belfast believes in and we encourage you to have a look around their website; https://tifwe.org/

One of the blog posts they put up recently is very relevant to many conversations I have been having over the past weeks – with news today predicting that the UK’s economy could contract by between 11.5% and 14% making it one of the worst hit countries in the OECD.
As financial pressures build people will be searching for answers and as believers in the God of the Bible we can draw wisdom, comfort and hope from its words.
This blogpost by the IFWE is titled “How to Flourish through Financial Crisis” and draws from the Old Testament story of Ruth. If you are going through a tough time or know someone who is you should have a read. https://tifwe.org/how-to-flourish-through-financial-crisis/

Also, CBMC Belfast would love to know if it can be praying for you. We pray every Friday at 1pm on a ZOOM call as well as having a network of individuals that would love to pray for you one to one. If you or a colleague would value prayer please let us know.
