Genesis Network: Morning Prayer
We have now been meeting every Friday lunchtime for 10 months with the exception of two Fridays over Christmas! For those of you that have joined us you will agree that it has been a time of real blessing and community as we have heard a short devotional, shared prayer requests and then broken into small groups to pray for each other, our nation and the economy. It has been described by a number of attendees as an ‘oasis of calm in the midst of the madness of Covid’.
10 months on a lot has changed - for a start we are now called Genesis Network and we are working towards building regional hubs around the country where deeper community and discipleship can happen. However, we still see an important role for a weekly prayer time for those of you that share a vision for marketplace transformation, those of you who may just need prayer on that specific day and those of you who aren't part of a regional hub and value the community aspect of these gatherings.
A number of our regulars have let us know that they have had to drop off recently because the lunchtime slot doesn't work alongside work pressures which is why we have decided to launch “Genesis Network: Morning prayer” this Friday at 7:30am in place of the lunchtime slot.
The blueprint of a devotional, prayer points and small group prayer will remain but we're excited to see what beginning our Friday’s in this way will bring. Psalm 5:3 says “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
Whether you are a regular or you have never been before you are very welcome to join us for morning prayer this Friday and every Friday thereafter unless you hear otherwise. All details can be found on the Genesis Network website under the ‘prayer’ tab where you will find the Link to join the Zoom meeting.
