Steven Welsh
This week’s video comes from Steven Welsh who works for a large commercial and corporate insurance brokers in Belfast.
In it he shares the value he has gained from being part of a group of friends that have met weekly for over ten years. Having met three of the group over the past weeks it was obvious that God was doing something special through that weekly gathering.
Steven describes the time as a ‘safe space’ and a ‘place of decompression… where we chat about how we can further our walk with Jesus’. He also speaks about how it is a place where the highs and lows of life in the ‘real world’ can be explored.
The Genesis Network is passionate about the value of connecting in groups like this. We would encourage you to consider who is that person or couple of people in your life that you could meet up with, have a Zoom or whatever suits. Being a disciple of Jesus is not a ‘solo sport’ and we need people around us that we can be real with, pray with, be blessed by and stand alongside them in all they are facing as well. That’s a challenge for you to really pray through if you haven’t got something like this in your life at the moment.
Get in touch with us through the website if you’d like to chat through how this has worked for others. Steven also mentioned in the video that we are exploring what the Genesis Network looks like in the North Down area – if you are interested in being part of the conversation get in touch through the website and we’d love to chat!
