Signpost: Dallas Jenkins - What God told me about failure – The Chosen

Many of you may have watched the online series ‘The Chosen’. Created to the same quality as any Netflix series, the Chosen is a drama series that documents the life of Jesus and his disciples in a very powerful way. With great respect for the Biblical texts and an incredible amount of research into the historic, political and Jewish religious context, this series has brought the reality of Jesus Christ’s person and deity to millions and if you have some time over the next weeks with the evenings drawing in, I can’t imagine how many other ‘Netflix Series’ will lift your soul like this one.

If you watch it, find that it has spoken to you – it could be a great thing to share with a friend or colleague that doesn’t know Jesus as a way to open a conversation….

This post however is about ‘failure’ – it is the raw story of Chosen Director, Dallas Jenkin’s journey to creating The Chosen that involves him facing down failure before God worked and spoke through a friend who said this; 

“Remember, your job is not to feed the 5000 it only provides the loaves and the fish”
