EXPLORE - Lisa Keys

The Genesis Network desires to see marketplace transformation - and for us that will happen when followers of Jesus begin to realise that being an apprentice to Jesus requires dedicating our whole lives to God, which includes our professional lives.

We believe that as we are shaped in becoming more like Jesus, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, this will spill over into our professional contexts. In how we interact with colleagues and suppliers, in how we ‘do business’ and how we share the reason for the hope that we have.

That vision of marketplace transformation and whole-life discipleship comes to life in the Genesis Network under three key themes: Explore, Equip & Engage.

Explore: Seeking to make Jesus Christ known to marketplace leaders across our land

Equip: Resourcing Christian business people, professionals and marketplace leaders in living out their faith in the marketplace

Engage: Creating opportunities for strong relationships to be created and discipleship to take place within our network

Over the next three weeks we will be highlighting what Genesis is doing in these areas and what we are seeing God doing.

This week Lisa Keys shares what Explore means to the Genesis Network - through events and activities - and even more importantly in the lives of our network. We already have many examples of how our Network have been sharing what Jesus is doing in their lives to their colleagues and through relationships they have built in their work context. We want to encourage each other to pray for our work relationships, to be a blessing in them and to be open to conversations about our relationship with Jesus.

Drawing from Ecclesiastes 4, Lisa highlights how coming alongside one another in these initiatives is so key - so we can support one another, encourage one another and, at times, pick one another up!
